ARE YOU FRUSTRATED ENOUGH YET?
Remember the experiment in High
school--- introduce 2 frogs into 2 pots of water.
One pot you heat slowly, gently from lukewarm
to boiling--- what happens? Frog never
notices the change, and dies. As for Second pot—you start off with boiling
water, drop frog in and immediate response---jump out.
What’s the point? Are you the lukewarm frog, perhaps frustrated
with a situation, you know it’s going to end up bad, but you’re comfortable
right now where you are? I know at times that's been me.
Let me ask you; what aspect of your life bothers or frustrates you?
What are you willing to do about it?
If you are like me for things to
change I must be so frustrated that I’m willing to take that leap out of the
boiling pot. Yet so often times I’ve
felt like the frog in the lukewarm water…. I sense where I am is not good but
unless the sky comes tumbling down, I stay where I am.
That was the situation 9 years
ago when I realized my husband and I had no retirement, no pension, no vacation plan and no hopes for the future. I had to step out of my comfort zone, make
that leap of faith. As a result, we now
have a growing retirement plan and plan for future. I had to get so frustrated that I was willing to jump out of the pot of warm water.
WHAT ABOUT YOU?
What are you totally frustrated
with? What one thing are you sick and
tired of?
Perhaps it might be weight,
finances, relationships, work, you’re living situation---- you know what it is.
Today I would like to encourage
you to commit your plans to the God who is able to give you strength to make that jump. Remember “The steps of a good
man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way. Thou he fall, he shall not be utterly cast
down; for the Lord upholds him with His hand”
(Ps 37: 23,24)
I would love to hear what your “major
frustration” is and what one thing you are willing to do to change it.
